I’m excited to share the final product of my first design collaboration!
For the past few months (in between the hectic process of moving, travel, wrapping up projects, and starting new ones), I’ve been working on a sticker design for Seattle-based Rainier Watch, an Instagram page / shop / community focused on the beautiful Mount Rainier.
Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind for a few weeks now:
My journey to full-time designer has been a circuitous one. I minored in “visual communications” (i.e., graphic design) in college, wrote my first line of CSS code shortly after, and always found myself doing some kind of design work at internships and jobs early in my career. But it wasn’t until 2016 that I decided to focus solely on design.
In this article, I’m going to share with you six important principles I’ve learned in my career as a designer.
